The 2nd bilateral meeting between the Administrations of Mongolia and People`s Republic of China on Radio Frequency Coordination in the border area was held on 01-03 August of 2017 in Ulaanbaatar. The Mongolian Delegates was led by Mr. Chinbat Baatarjav, Chairman of the Communications and Information Technology Authority and Chinese Delegates was led by Mr. Runtian Kan, Counselor of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
During the meeting, both Sides introduced national radio frequency planning, allocation and coordination policy in the border areas and exchanged their opinions on development of efficient coordination mechanism for radio frequency usage of 2G, 3G and 4G system. Furthermore, they expressed the points and views on WRC-19 Agenda Items.
As a result of the meeting, both Sides agreed to discuss about formulating Agreements in the mobile bands of GSM 900 and CDMA 800 and at first stage to submit the draft Agreement for CDMA 800 before 30 June of 2018. Also, they shared information on HF monitoring stations and noted that further cooperation should be based on procedures specified on Radio Regulations of ITU.
The next bilateral meeting will be held in China, and the meeting date will be decided by correspondence.
